Hide your VIP.
Ambush theirs. The final’s already played.
Three matches. One round.
Teams of four, in groups of four. A normal 18, split three ways.
- Holes 1–6, 7–12, 13–18: a six-hole match against each team in your group.
- Win a hole: 1 point. Tie it: half each.
- Nobody waits: the matches are worked out from the cards.
Somebody has to count.
On every hole, one player is your VIP. Their net score always counts, plus your best other.
Everyone carries four or five holes, at least one in every six. You choose who carries which, in secret, before the first tee.
Strike where it hurts.
One ambush in each match. On the hole you strike, their VIP loses a stroke.
- Hit: their VIP gets a stroke there, and loses it.
- Dud: their VIP gets no stroke there. Nothing to take.
- Ambush broken: they lose the stroke and make birdie anyway. +1 to them.
So hide them.
Everybody at the club knows everybody’s handicap. Nobody knows your schedule.
The high handicap with two strokes on the hardest hole is the obvious target. So is that where you put him? Or your scratch player, with no stroke to lose?
No scores. No leaks.
Your phone keeps your card and your picks. That’s all it shows.
They’ve already played the final.
The group winners meet over the same 18 holes, worked out from the same round. The 18th is worth two.
Every team lays two Final Ambushes before it tees off, blind, against whoever it might meet. Nobody knows who won until the clubhouse TV plays it back.
Lay an ambush.
You’re the Foxes, playing the Wolves over holes 1–6. Read their handicaps, pick one hole, and watch it play out. It’s played by the real Ambush engine.
